Rochelle Park, NJ - The DAK Group announces the completion of the sale of Advanced Burner Technologies (ABT) to Siemens Power Generation Group, a Siemens AG company (NYSE:SI) in the international power generation sector. Siemens Power Generation generated approximately EUR8.1 billion in revenues in fiscal year 2005.

ABT, a privately held company located in Pluckemin, NJ, is known globally for its highly effective low NOx burners and combustion modifications for pulverized coal-fired steam generators. Joel Vatsky, the president of ABT, will continue in his position within the Siemens organization and the company will remain in its current location.

Strategically this combination matches Advanced Burner Technologies' advanced NOx prevention and control products with Siemens Power Generation's global expertise in highly efficient turbine-generators, power plant equipment and advanced air emissions control products. Overall, this acquisition furthers Siemens' ongoing commitment to provide innovative technologies, solutions and services to better meet the needs of its customers. Siemens and ABT share many of the same customers and prospects who will benefit from combining and leveraging the resources, expertise and technologies of both companies.

"This acquisition simplifies business for many of our joint customers, who will now have a single point of contact for many of their plant operations and maintenance services, including the effective integration of service for their turbines, fuel combustion equipment and air emissions control technologies," said Craig Weeks, president, Siemens Power Generation Fossil Service Division.

The DAK Group acted as financial advisor to ABT in this transaction. Nancy A. Manket, Managing Director of DAK added: "ABT's pulverized coal combustion solutions clearly compliment Siemens' other products and services in advanced air emissions controls. The acquisition by Siemens is another example of how entrepreneurial mid market companies can make meaningful contributions to strategic acquirers in fulfilling their business strategies."
