Investment banking firm The DAK Group announced today that it has successfully assisted KosmaKare International in the acquisition and financing of New Jersey based Water-Jel Technologies, Inc.

Headquartered in Carlstadt, Water-Jel Technologies, Inc. is an international market leader in emergency first aid products for industrial burn treatment. The firm has global brand name and product recognition. The Company employs over 30 people at its New Jersey headquarters.

With the investment banking advice of the DAK Group, Water-Jel was purchased by KosmaKare International, a private label bandage manufacturer serving North America. KosmaKare operates from facilities in Canada and New Jersey.

"We are really excited about the true synergies which exist between the two companies and we look forward to expanding our KosmaKare International adhesive bandage business through the Water-Jel channels of distribution" Howard Hirsch, CEO of KosmaKare said.

Water-Jel Technologies was purchased from X-Ceed, Inc. a public company traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol XCED.

"This transaction provides Water-Jel with a strategic international partner which will allow the Company to leverage its position in the healthcare market and strengthen its brand leadership position," DAK Group President Alan Scharfstein said.
